FRAGMENTS... by Myriam Balaÿ Devidal



 " Last June, Valérie Barkowski invited me in Marrakesh, at Dar Kawa, to create a scenery. 
I only knew Dar Kawa through Internet "a magical image."

The first hours: strolling in the city ...



"I already had my own idea of what I wanted to do, and started to collect papers, writing, forms that would be used to mold my pieces (the kitchen of Dar Kawa is a real Ali Baba cave), paper items and textiles inspired by Valerie Barkowski her latest collection "Bandit Queen."




Myriam Balaÿ Devidal, who is she ? 
"Graduated in Industrial Product Design (School of Fine Arts of St Etienne) after numerous collaborations on stage sets (theater, television, cinema), I entered the textile world and have memorable experiences in the Haute Couture (Chanel, Dior), textile design for the company "From Near and distant" and today the collective "Copirates" as well as my work at "L'appartement" on materials, colors, objects, Scenography, image ... and more!"


Myriam Balaÿ Devidal is also the first ambassador of SoKistan
the land of socks, under the name La famille Chaussettes.
